You don’t need to be a fan or a devotee of the Classical to appreciate the timeless elegance and beauty of these Palladian mantle clocks the credit for which should go to the old masters Virtuvian and Palladian who believed that proportion was everything and laid down the ground rules for classically inspired architecture. The Palladian styling of this beautiful pendulum case clock gives it a splendour and classical elegance that is timeless. Its classical proportions and broken pediment detail are picked out by the subtle antiquing of its gilded finish. As a hand made case clock I can finish them in either a pewter or antiqued gold gilded finish. The dials are hand etched and the casements are collaged with appropriate classical imagery.
